Anxiety is a result of the fight or flight response being triggered in the non conscious mind and is a natural response to stress which can manifest as feelings of fear, apprehension, or uneasiness. While it’s a normal part of life, excessive or persistent anxiety can interfere with daily functioning and overall well-being.

Anxiety disorders encompass a range of conditions, including generalised anxiety disorder (GAD), social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and specific phobias. In some cases (such as phobias) an anxiety sufferer may be aware of the stimulus that causes the fight or flight response, however in some cases the cause is unknown.

Using a combination of hypnotherapy, NLP and breath work my approach involves a therapeutic process which not only lessens anxiety symptoms but also serves to develop effective coping strategies to manage anxiety-provoking situations in the future.
One of the primary methods in hypnotherapy is inducing a deep state of relaxation. This relaxation helps to counteract the physiological responses associated with anxiety, such as increased heart rate and muscle tension. By promoting relaxation, hypnotherapy aims to reduce overall stress levels.
By utilising a hypnotic state I am able to access the non conscious mind, where deeply rooted beliefs and patterns are stored. Anxiety often arises from subconscious thoughts and perceptions. Together we can explore and reframe these subconscious patterns, promoting more positive and adaptive responses.
